We are unbelievably excited to finally send off our pitch to the Edith Maryon foundation. Uleshka and Ryo worked hard to come up with a visionary yet realistic concept that focuses on diversity, sustainable energy and village integration. A long call with Ilka Paulick from the municipally Märkische Heide was super inspiring. She gave great insights, knowledge and thoughts about what this village needs. Also co-authors Irmela Schautz, Anna Niestroj and Katharina Altrogge: shout-out to you!
Then – right after sending it off to the foundation, Uleshka finally managed to meet Ismail Chaib (after years of somewhat wanting to meet) and gave him a first “potential project supporter pitch” while taking a walk at Volkspark Friedrichshain. Co-incidence: Ismail and Anna Niestroj are Neukölln neighbours and were happily surprised to both be connected through this project as well. Well – if we manage to get it! All feels very promising…
