Finally – we use the Berlin Winter Holidays (this weird week in the beginning of February) to drive out and finally stay over. We got the keys and instructions of how to heat with the old wooden stoves. Combined with Japanese style electric heating this should get warm right? After 4 days and nights of heating non-stop we return to our Berlin apartment (that wasn’t heated during the time) and find, that it is still warmer here. Haha! I guess this is a good, true, real life experience what building insulation can do for you. Also – the Pretschen apartment building hasn’t been heated for years. Getting the cold out of these old walls will take a moment… But: who minds the cold, when there is such beauty all around? Some physical exercise and you will get warm again anyway 😛
